About Martin Myers

Martin Myers is a UCT graduate and founder of the Music Exchange (MEX). He began his career in 1985, running UCT Radio. His big break came when he organized a gig for Sipho “Hotstix” Mabuse, leading to a 35-year partnership. Myers has worked with numerous artists, including Vusi Mahlasela, John Legend, and many more. He co-founded Crew U and SMD Technical, and since 2009, he has been leading MEX, South Africa’s foremost independent music conference. Myers also manages Siphokazi Jonas and Dr. Trevor Jones in South Africa, and hosts a weekly show on Cape Talk, “The Business of Entertainment,” which airs every Thursday at 9 pm.
